Waltham is one of the more prominent communities in the area. It’s towards the west of Belmont, Watertown, Nonantum, and north of Newton North and Auburndale. For the borders, you’ll find the southernmost point of the community along the Charles River, between BlueSnap, Norumbega Tower, and Greater Boston Home Inspections. From this corner, the southeast boundary moves up toward Upper Charles River Reservation, Purgatory Cove, and the intersection of Moody Street, Derby Street, and Crescent Street. This edge continues toward Calvary Cemetery. This point connects toward Morrill Street and ricochets to North Street and Farwell Street across the Charles River. The southeast border continues parallel Seyon Street, Gore Street, Warren Street, Prospect Street, and into the end point of Thayer Road. Meanwhile, the northeast edge begins from this point and moves along Beaver Brook and the Western Greenway to Wimbledon Circle. This point angles down to the northwest, which crosses Carroll School, and through Cambridge Reservoir.
